  • Broadway Studios Grand Theater 435 Broadway Street (map)

Description

See the future of sustainable enterprise...

Join us at Presidio Graduate School's Capstone Showcase and Sustainable Innovation Fair on Saturday, May 5th. We welcome our PGS community and guests to attend this special event. Seating is limited and registration via Eventbrite is strongly encouraged.

6:00 - 7:00 PM Sustainable Product Innovation Fair

Come view original product innovations and prototypes that address a range of environmental and social challenges, while enjoying delicious sustainably-sourced food and a cash bar. Student teams from the Spring 2018 Sustainable Products & Services course will be presenting their project designs focused on upcycled products made from coconut shells, a digital tool to bring clarity to US tax spending, and other public and private sustainability purposes.

7:30 - 9:00 PM Capstone Showcase Presentations

The Showcase will begin with a talk from PGS SF alum "boomerang" speaker, Dan Kurzrock (C21). Dan is the Co-Founder and Cheif Grain Officer of ReGrained, an innovative company that upcycles spent grains from the beer-brewing process into hearty and delicious cereal bars in regenerative packaging. Graduating students will then present their new ventures and policy plans, developed as part of Presidio Graduate School's Integrative MBA and MPA Capstone courses. This semester's Capstone Showcase includes eight projects, in topics such as clothing restoration service, using drones for endangered species conservation purposes, developing intentional communities, and using Blockchain in the medical billing process, among other things. These ready-to-fund, ready-to-implement plans put sustainable management ideas into practice, with transformational business and policy models designed for launch and scale.

This event will be held at:
